Two-Well Treatment · Austin Chalk Formation nanoActiv® HnP powered by Messer
-
Well A cumulative BOE increased by 174%
-
Well B cumulative BOE increased by 12%
Details
- Austin Chalk A and B wells are open-hole completions in Frio County, Texas.
- Well A was producing 3 BOPD pre-treatment.
Treatment
- Austin Chalk A and B wells were remediated with ~1,200 gallons of nanoActiv® HRT blend pushed by 1,000 MSCF of N₂.
Results
- Post-treatment, the production increased to an average of 6 BOPD for 90 days. As of February 2020, Well A is producing 4 BOPD*.
Details
- Well B was producing 7 BOPD and 70 MCFD pre-treatment.
Results
- Post-treatment, oil production remained at 7 BOPD but gas production increased to an average of 90 MCFD for 90 days. As of February 2020, approximately 1,000 days post-treatment, Well B is producing 5 BOPD and 40 MCFD, returning back to the trendline decline curve.*
- The variability in the results for wells A and B was directly linked to the dosage of nanoActiv® and gas the well received, relative to the treatment area. Analysis showed that Well B received a much lower dosage of treatment relative to the treatment area compared to Well A.**

Single-Well Treatment · Buda Formation nanoActiv® HnP powered by Messer
-
Oil production has increased by 3× BOPD
-
Gas production has increased by 3.3× MCFD
Details
- The Buda Well is a horizontal, open-hole completion which was drilled in 2011 in Frio County, Texas with an initial production rate of 140 BOPD of oil and 1,400 MCFD of gas. By 2017, 30 days prior to the nanoActiv® treatment, the well had fallen to an average of 2 BOPD and 30 MCFD.
Treatment
- The Buda Well was remediated in 2017 using a nanoActiv® HnP treatment where ~2,500 gallons of nanoActiv® HRT blend was injected into the reservoir. The nanoActiv® HRT blend was pushed by 1,600 MSCF of N₂.
Results
- Post-treatment, the well increased oil production to 11 BOPD for 150 days. At 1,000 days post-treatment, the to-date incremental recovered volume is approximately 11,600 BOE. The well continues to produce more than 3x MCFD of gas than before treatment.

Well B surpasses initial production
Details
- Arkoma Well A is a horizontal well drilled in June 2017 in Oklahoma with a vertical depth (TVD) of 6,500 feet and lateral length of 6,000 feet.
- Prior to treatment, the well was producing 1,276 MCFD and 6 BOPD
Treatment #1
- On April 25, 2019 Arkoma Well A was treated using a nanoActiv® HnP treatment with ~7,000 gallons of nanoActiv® blend pushed by 1,600 MSCF of N₂ over approximately 55 hours.
Results
- Within 30 minutes of beginning the treatment, the pressure of the offset well began to increase, indicating the two wells were communicating. The offset well was shut-in for the remainder of the treatment. Once the treatment was complete, both wells were shut-in for more than 48 hours and reopened.
- The decline curve flattened out, adding an incremental ~10,000 MCF to the production. Prior to treatment, the 30-day rolling daily decline of the two wells was .063% daily or 23% annualized. 4-months post-treatment, the 30-day rolling daily decline rate improved to .031%.
Details
- Arkoma Well B is an offset well to Arkoma Well A, located on the same pad site.
- Prior to treatment, the well was producing 1,517 MCFD and 8 BOPD.
Treatment #2
- On August 26, 2019 Arkoma Well B, the offset to Arkoma Well A, was treated with ~14,000 gallons of nanoActiv® blend and 10,000 MSCF of N₂. The treatment was injected into Well A again.
- Because of the communication between Wells A and B, to treat Well B, the injection had to be in Well A again.
- Both wells were then shut in for a minimum of 72 hours.
Results
- Treatment #2 added an incremental 122,000 MCF to production in 180 days.

Details
- Arkoma Mayes A was completed in June 2018 in Oklahoma with a vertical depth (TVD) of 6,500 feet and lateral length of 6,000 feet.
- Prior to treatment, the well was producing 1,678 MCFD and 1 BOPD.
Treatment
- On May 1, 2019 Arkoma Mayes A was treated with ~7,000 gallons of nanoActiv® blend pushed by 5,250 MSCF of N₂ over approximately 55 hours.
- An offset well is located approximately ten feet from Arkoma Mayes A. Within three hours of beginning the treatment, the pressure of the offset well began to increase indicating the two wells were communicating. The offset well was shut-in for the remainder of the treatment. Once the treatment was complete, both wells were shut-in for more than 48 hours and reopened.
Results
- The decline curve/well head production improved by an average of 130 Mcfd—adding an incremental ~40,000 MCF to the production

Well A is producing 800 MCFD more gas
-
Wells B and C are each producing 1,500 MCFD more gas
Details
- Arkoma Wells A, B, and C are three wells in Oklahoma within a close proximity of the fourth well that was set to be completed. Using the producer’s field gas, a treatment was designed to protect the production in the existing wells.
- Arkoma Wells A, B, and C were initially planned as a nanoActiv® Frac Hit Mitigation treatment. However, the state regulatory agency required the producer to delay the completion of the new well, therefore the producer opened Arkoma Wells A, B, and C after being shut-in for two weeks.
Treatment
- On February 4, 2020 Arkoma Wells A, B, and C were each treated using a combination treatment of gas and nanoActiv® blend. Initially, the well was loaded with 500,000 SCF of methane followed by pumping seven stages alternating between nanoActiv® blend and the gas. After completing seven stages, the nanoActiv® blend and gas were co-injected, to form a high-quality foam, pumped into the reservoir to hold pressure in each of the wells. The final injection consisted of a volume of field gas.
- Each of the wells were treated with 7,014 gallons of nanoActiv® blend, and 5,000 MSCF of methane over approximately 48 hours. The producer choked back each of the wells for two weeks.
Results
- Arkoma A is producing 800 MCFD more gas than it was pre-treatment.
Results
- Arkoma B is producing 1,500 MCFD more gas than it was pre-treatment.
- Arkoma C is producing 1,500 MCFD more gas than it was pre-treatment.
